Ommadon
The Flight Of Dragons film (1982)
Ommadon ("The Red Wizard") is Fire.
Ommadon refuses to aid his three other wizard brothers, the golden wizard Lo Tae Shao, the green wizard Carolinus and the blue wizard Solarius in an attempt to create a new protected realm of magic in order to save the magical world they live in which is being destroyed by man's mis-beleif in magic.
The red wizard Ommadon instead vows to dominate humanity by infesting humans with more greed in a hope that they will destroy each other, in an attempt to stop magic's death by force. The only way to stop Ommadon is to take his Red Crown, the source of his dark magic.
Twentieth Century Peter Dickinson, being descended from an ancient hero, is asked to begin a quest to save the magical land and with help from the wizards and several other charactors and a long adventure ( Wikipedia for complete story ), he finally otherthrows Ommadon by using science explanations as a way of defeating magic.
Ommadon resided in a tall tower with a skull on the top within his Red Realm.

Ommadon also has his Red Dragon Bryaugh as a steed. |
