Nicknamed The Shape he usually kills on or around the night of Halloween, and targets family members mainly.

Michael Audrey Myers was born in October 1957 (one film says 19th, another suggests 30th) as the only son and middle child of Donald and Edith/Deborah (remake) Myers. Michael had two sisters, Judith Margaret (the eldest) and Laurie Ann (the youngest). The family resided in a house in the suburban town of Haddonfield, Illinois.

At some point in his childhood Michael was chosen by a cult to bear the Curse of Thorn. The cult believes a child from one family must be chosen to bear the curse and sacrifice their entire family in order to save the rest of the community from death. The curse apparently makes the user immortal or grants the ability to self-resurrect once dead, and gives other super-natural abilities like superhuman strength.

It is assumed that Mrs. Blankenship was the one to give him the curse or she is aware of who did.

Michael was taken to be put under psychiatric care by Dr. Sam Loomis after killing his sister with a knife, Loomis spent years trying to learn why Michael would commit murder while no signs of motivation were present. Michael never spoke a word, instead waiting patiently, never talking or crying.

In 1978, Michael hijacked the car meant for his court transfer and returns to his childhood home to start his killing saga.

The adult Michael is tall, around 6'1 - 6'8 (it varies between the Halloween films). He has scars from burns after being set on fire and has black eyes, "devil's" eyes. He depicted in coveralls worn by automobile mechanics. He also wears a white mask. He often looks directly into his victim's eyes with his head shifted to the side as if to study them as they die or shortly thereafter. While Michael is mute, he seems to understand what people say to him. There have been brief glimpses of hesitation or even remorse in Michael. Michael has displayed limited psychic abilities with his family. He was able to mentally command his niece Jamie to attack her adoptive mother. He has displayed feats of superhuman strength including lifting large men off their feet by their heads. Michael apparently eats food, it was insinuated he lived in part off rats.

SUMMARY

ARCH RIVAL :	Mainly family members.
STRENGTHS :	Michael is cunning, able to sneak up on intended victims or trick them consistently. He has an uncanny ability to escape detection. Michael seems to understand things, as well as interpret things as a thinker, and tends to have unique ways of taking out victims. Michael possesses superhuman recuperative abilities. He has withstood being shot, burned, stabbed, beaten, hanged, and electrocuted. After acting comatose for nearly 10 years, he displayed no ill physical effects. Michael has displayed limited psychic abilities with his family. In the later Halloween films he was able to mentally command his niece Jamie to attack her adoptive mother. He has displayed feats of superhuman strength including lifting large men off their feet by their heads.
WEAKNESSES :	None.
WEAPONS :	His primary weapon in the Halloween films is a butcher knife, but has also used several other weapons, including a pitchfork and an axe. He crushed the skull of victims with his bare hands.
