Yet again we have another loony bin terrorizing innocent folk in outer space, this time in the form of Karl Larson.
When their vessel, the Nightingale 229, answers an emergency distress signal from a comet mining operation in a distant galaxy, the crew soon finds itself in danger from the mysterious young man (Larson) whom they rescue. What they fail to realize is that he has smuggled aboard their stricken craft an Alien artifact. This artifact is actually a device for creating a black hole, and is threatening the lives of the crew, and in the distant future, all of mankind! Now unfortunately for the rescue team, their ship is damaged due to an asteroid field on arriving at the distress beaken location.
Karl is being transformed by the alien artifact and is going completely insane! His intent is to sell the artifact to the highest bidder, but the crew is against the idea, which causes tempers to heat.
The only way to win is for Karl to kill everyone, and to be fair he makes a good go at it - but is soon disposed of and blown in to space to his death!

Made strong and tough by the alien artifact he smuggles onboard the ship. He is a real baden and will stop at nothing to rid himself of the crew who try to stand in his way. Karl is able to withstand a good amount of punishment, and heals very quickly. |

He's completely nuts, delusional, with ideas above his station. |
