Jabba the Hutt is a an obese, slug-like alien. He is a 600-year-old Hutt crime lord and a "vile gangster" who employs a retinue of criminals, bounty hunters, smugglers, assassins, and bodyguards to operate his criminal empire. Jabba the Hutt's palace on the desert planet Tatooine is a former monastery for a group of mystics known as the B'omarr monks. There he keeps a host of entertainers (scantily-clad slave girls of all species, chaining many of them to his dais), slaves, droids, and alien creatures at his disposal. Jabba has a grim sense of humor, a bellicose laugh, an insatiable appetite, and an affinity for gambling, slave girls, and a love of torture. He amuses himself by torturing and humiliating his subjects and enemies. Jabba is ruthless and would send even his most loyal servants and prized possessions to their deaths.

Han Solo referres to Jabba as a "slimy piece of worm-ridden filth." A cross between a toad and the Cheshire Cat", Jabba's body is a "miasmic mass" of flesh that shakes as he laughs. He emits an unmistAKAble smell: "The Hutt's lardaceous body seemed to periodically release a greasy discharge, sending fresh waves of rotten stench" into the air. His swollen tongue drips with saliva as he feeds on creatures that resemble frogs and maggots. Jabba's appetite is insatiable and he is not discriminatory about his diet.

Jabba is killed by Leia who strangles him with her slave chain, while she is chained to him, after Luke Skywalker helps free Han Solo aboard his desert sail barge, and a battle breaks out.

SUMMARY

ARCH RIVAL :	He has many enemies, but the most memorable is Han Solo who owes him a big debt.
STRENGTHS :	A gangster, ruthless to the end, he wouldn't hesitate to torture even his most loyal subject and delights in mocking his slaves.
WEAKNESSES :	Slow and comber some, an easy target if shot at too. Jabba the Hutt's many flaws also include vice, lust, greed, and gluttony.
WEAPONS :	None as such, just his tail, which is heavy and has a powerful hit.
